High-volume advanced refurbishment and repair
The volume you cannot process, repaired on the border. Genesis runs high-volume advanced refurbishment and repair across El Paso and Ciudad Juarez, for ITADs and OEMs with limited operations in the US or none at all. We take the client devices most of the industry scraps and put them back into the market.
The problem
A lot of hardware gets scrapped for the wrong reason.
Most operations are built to sort, wipe and resell whatever already works, then move whatever's left to scrap. Repair at any real depth is expensive wherever that sorting happens to sit, so anything that needs more than a clean gets written off, even when it still has value, because fixing it doesn't pencil out where the work is being done.
What we take
The client devices everyone else walks past.
The industry is chasing servers. We are set up for the long tail of client hardware, where the volume is and where the scrap rate is highest.
Laptops and tablets
The core of the line. Board-level diagnosis and component repair, going well past a wipe and a clean.
Monitors under 24 inch
Routinely scrapped in the US as not worth the freight. Refurbished here, and sized right for the homes they are resold into.
Thin clients
Little resale value on their own. Paired with a refurbished monitor they become a complete working desktop.
Peripherals and docks
Docks, keyboards, accessories. Low unit value, high volume, and almost nobody is set up to handle them profitably.
Why we're different
A monitor nobody wanted, plus a thin client nobody wanted.
Separately, a 22 inch monitor and a thin client are both close to worthless in the US secondary market. Together they are an affordable desktop for a household in Mexico or Latin America, where a 22 inch screen suits the room better than a 27 anyway.
Spotting that takes physically holding the hardware. That's what separates an asset-heavy operation like Genesis from a broker who only ever passes a listing along.
Why the border
El Paso and Juarez was a deliberate choice.
One receiving point in the US, one repair operation in Mexico, minutes apart. See how the corridor actually runs →
Close to where the volume already is
Texas carries a heavy concentration of ITAD operations, with returns flow running through Dallas, and Genesis sits right inside that map.
Pointed at the western economy
Positioned toward Phoenix and California, an economy large enough to be counted among the biggest in the world on its own.
Open toward Mexico and Latin America
Repaired units can be remarketed into Mexico and Latin America rather than fighting for space in a saturated US resale channel.
The proof, in one unit
A working Latitude with the asset tag ground off the lid is a grade D, sold as is. Repaired properly it is a grade A.
Most operations sort, wipe and list whatever already works, then scrap the rest, since repair at volume gets expensive fast wherever they are standing. That gap between D and A is where the money actually is.
Genesis is set up differently. Deep repair expertise on the Mexico side of the border lets us fix economically what other operations write off, and a better grade out is worth more to whoever sells it next.
Every repair decision is recorded and fed back, so the next unit like it is assessed on evidence rather than on a rule someone wrote once.
Underneath all of it
The intelligence layer behind the physical work.
Genesis built this system, called GAIN, to run its own floor. CircIQ is the intelligence layer inside it, grading, routing and pricing every unit that comes through the door, and every decision it makes feeds back into the model.
What you get from it is transparency. Where your assets are, what was done to them, and what they are expected to return, without having to ask.
See how it worksLifecycle
The greenest device is the one that keeps working.
Every unit repaired instead of shredded is manufacturing that does not have to happen again. Extending the useful life of hardware is the point of a circular model, and it is the part that gets talked about most and done least.
Here, lower cost and lower impact turn out to be the same decision.
Recovery, in numbers
This module will carry the real figures once available: units diverted from scrap, material kept out of landfill, or an environmental certification held.
Proof
What this looks like in practice.
Three programme shapes Genesis is built to run. Full detail, once each is cleared to publish.
Grade uplift on a mixed laptop lot
Volume in, grade distribution before and after, and what the uplift was worth to the partner.
Monitors and thin clients diverted from scrap
Units that would have been shredded, rebuilt into desktops and sold into Mexico.
Overflow capacity for an ITAD
Volume an existing operation could not process, turned around across the border.
Send us the list you were going to scrap.
Tell us the volume, the mix and the grades you are seeing, and we will come back with what we can do with it.
